The Arts Club Shirt ◦ Charlotte L’Harmeroult

Since its creation, La Chemise Club has collaborated with many artists. Visual arts, upcycling, screen printing and other forms of art are different practices that we wanted to mix with the shirt to highlight talented artists and anchor themselves in our approach to revaluing textiles.

Charlotte L'Harmeroult

Visual artist and performer, Charlotte is a passionate soul who draws her inspiration “from memories, scientific experiments, unexplained experiences, or current events”. His dreams and dreams lead his body to express them on different media, and has the imprint of his kisses as a trademark, which can be found on the majority of his works for more than ten years.

Among her experiments, we find “Baisers grenade”, created in spring 2021, which she defines as “experimental, conceptual, ethical and artistic research”. Using a stamp that she made in linocut from the imprint of her lips and a water-based screen printing ink, she prints the mark of her lips on second-hand textiles. It is from this concept that the meeting of our two universes took place: its symbolic kiss found its place on a selection of silk shirts for La Chemise Club.

Pomegranate Kisses

Baisers Grenade is an ethical and artistic conceptual research created by Charlotte L'Harmeroult in spring 2021.

In this new series, she uses second-hand textiles, water-based screen printing ink and a stamp she made herself as a linocut from her lips.

On what basis do we consider that this or that production is a work or is not?

Only thought modifies the subject.

La Chemise Club invited Charlotte L'Harmeroult as part of its approach which questions the idea we have of a work of art.

Ten vintage silk shirts were worked by the artist. These pieces were exhibited within the Club.

Just like the selection of shirts offered by La Chemise Club, the Baisers Grenade series is gender-neutral. The shirts presented as part of this collaboration are therefore aimed at everyone.
